This is Halloween

The kids were excited to have their annual Halloween party tonight.  Trey and I put them in charge of decorating and cleaning up...think they did great!

Hazel was dead...again! This year she was Amelia Earheart..the zombie.  August helped her with the scars.

 August was a Hobo.
Some of Hazel's guests arrived in style!

Hazel and her friends spent most of the time in the "band room" dancing to recognizable music.

 And playing with glow sticks...
 And squealing! Oh, the squealing!
August and his friends hung out in the guest bedroom and played a dancing game...it really smelled bad in this room by the end of the night.
Of course there were the kids who were "too cool" to dance so they watched from the sidelines.

After a while the younger kids came up to watch some good old fashioned It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

But then they got a bit bored so we switched to ondemand Karaoke!

And boy...these kids liked to sing...
August was a bit sad at the end of the night because it's our last Halloween party in Seattle.  Little does he know that Halloween in South Pas is a huge deal...the houses there are so decorated and Trick-or-Treating is a big event.  And we'll have plenty of parties there too. But it does feel odd to not have a clear picture of what life will be like in a year...so I'm feeling it with August right now...and we'll be okay.
